That’s a wrap on UNTOLD’s first Business Showcase at HMP Isis.
The event marked the culmination of six weeks of Creative U, an entrepreneurship programme created by Greenwich Business School in partnership with UNTOLD. Working alongside the young men, the team delivered a programme focused on developing business skills, building confidence and preparing for life after release.
At the showcase, the men presented their business ideas, pitched their concepts and joined a panel discussion about what they had learned during the programme.
Some of the most powerful moments came from the conversations in the room. We heard about the realities of being a young entrepreneur in 2026, the barriers young Black men can face after leaving prison, and what meaningful support looks like when someone is trying to build a different future.
“The course gave me a different perspective on what my future and my life could be like if I embrace my ideas and understand that anything is possible when you put those ideas to work.”
— Martin K
For many of the young men, standing up and speaking in front of an audience was something they had never imagined doing. Watching them overcome that fear, share their ideas and back themselves was one of the most powerful parts of the day.
Another highlight was seeing the men dressed for the occasion in suits generously donated by Suited & Booted.
The showcase was about much more than business ideas. It gave young men in prison the opportunity to see what might be possible when they are supported, listened to and given the tools to grow. It was a chance to develop new skills, build confidence and begin imagining a different future.
We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part and grateful to Greenwich Business School for delivering such an inspiring six-week programme.
This is what happens when UNTOLD stories are given the space to be heard.

After six weeks of writing, rehearsing and refining, our young men took to the stage and brought their own live concert to life inside the prison.
January marked the end of the UNTOLD Creative Training x Central Saint Martins BA Fashion Design programme—and what better way to celebrate than with a fashion show?
